Bill acceptor mulit-download

They may accumulate dirt and grime, making it difficult for them to read the bill. This is when a vending machine bill acceptor repair is needed. Aside from damaged bill acceptors, there are various reasons why dollar bills are rejected by vending machines. Here are a few:. As we all know, we use money for different things.

Money can travel from one person to the other. And during its travel, it can pick up lots of grime from various sources. So, if you have a vending machine in your office that has not been cleaned for years, it is likely that dirt has already built up on the validator.

Soon, the vending machine will reject your bills because the photocells cannot read them. Dollar bill acceptors have plenty of tiny parts.

And as time passes, the belts that hold the dollar bill and pull it to the storage may wear out. If that happens, the dollar bills you feed your vending machines may be rejected.

If you are inserting a bill into a vending machine with not enough coins, then there is a chance that your money will be rejected. Here are the things you will need:. First, you need to examine the dollar bill slot. For this, you might want to use a flashlight so you can see better. And then, look for any signs of debris or dirt. Check if there are items that are blocking the dollar bill slot.

If you find any, remove them with your fingertips. After removing any debris that may be stuck in the dollar bill slot, try to insert a dollar bill into the acceptor. If you can make a purchase without any problem, then the issue is resolved.

We opened with Mars acceptors in the bays more than nine years ago - water hasn't been a real issue unless someone deliberately sprays the box which has been very rare. I've only had one go bad and I don't think it was from water , the rest are original. They go out of service if water gets on the front sensors, but after 15 minutes or so they are working again on their own.

All I've ever done to them is wipe them clean about once a month with a damp terry towel. ScottV said:. Slash I had the same problem and kept having to send the Coinco validators back to Jim at Etowah Valley for repairs due to water damage. I finally took the advice of another wash operator and installed clear vinyl covers over the bill slot.

We drilled two holes in the stip and cut some pieces of heavy gauge clear vinyl like would be on a curtain wall at 4" x 4". Drilled two holes in the face plate just above the bill slot and attached the vinyl and SS strip with stainless screws. We have not had a bill validator failure in two years due to water damage.

The acceptor itself is kind of messed up so it doesn;t suck up bills but it did try, indiciating to me that the machine was able to get power to the test-acceptor Any ideas on a fix?

The "acceptor end" of the harnesses are interchangeable among the same series and voltage. For instance, Mars series v are intercheangeable. So are Coinco BA v, etc. Unless of course you're talking MDB, which is kind of a god-send from a "universal" point of view? A good reason for as a rule of thumb 1 always buy MDB machines Granted there are always exceptions, especially when an insane CL deal comes around!

You need to rebuild the VN validator. The fact that the VFM validator tried to work means that there is nothing wrong with the harness. Your lack of knowledge in these things after being in vending as long as you have means you really need to rely on a vending repair tech to fix your machines. That way you don't waste your time dicking around with them. Find someone you trust and just let them do their thing and be confident that your machines are fixed and making you money.

Some people just can't grasp the concepts of understanding logic boards, bill validators and coin mechs and that's okay. The repair person does and can keep your machines running. I always had service calls for customers that just wanted their machines to work so they could make money from them worry-free.

I appreciate your comment but in my defense this is pretty much the first time I've made an effort to understand this particular topic. I definitely already do rely on a repair guy but I would like to understand this stuff too. I may have miscommunicated a little. The metal accetptor the VFM already had a harness connected into it so I plugged it and its harness into the machine, Where it clearly had power and was trying to work.
