Hi Stuart Many thanks for replying My issue is that the machine is only fitted with a cup wheel and I am assuming that if one wants to sharpen both flutes and the end cutting edges the air spindle must be turned approximately 90 degrees as you only have one flat dressing face on a tapered cup wheel.

I am assuming that if the machine is fitted with a recessed centre wheel then I can do flutes and the cutting edges without the need to swing the air spindle.
