In Dirt Dog, you win rounds by having more moxie left for your dog than your opponent's dog does. Each dog starts with a certain pool of moxie, and they can gain and lose moxie based on how you handle the obstacles your dog comes across in the burrows.

Players take turns building a burrow for their opponent to run. You must spend cards in order to defeat obstacles within the burrow. At the end of each burrow you will face a quarry card, such as a badger, that you will need to defeat with cards in order to successfully complete the burrow. Once both players have completed their burrow runs the player with the most moxie left wins the round! Subsequent rounds have additional challenges, and depending on how you have spent your cards, you may have less at your disposal to defeat the obstacles.
