As Slater, players take control of what is essentially a decked out, futuristic helicopter, and pilot it through various high tech cities with a serious Blade Runner influence. The cities have buildings, signs, and other detailed structures at every corner, as well as tons of civilian vehicles with real time traffic patterns. The controls are dead on, as after a few practice runs players will be weaving their gunship through buildings with great ease, looking very slick while doing it.

This flying takes place over 35 varied missions, that range from escorting vehicles to stopping rampaging construction droids. Interwoven with these missions is a plot led along by extremely cool silicon characters, with great voice-overs to boot.

The plot does a great job of pulling the player into the game without distracting from the actual gameplay. Enemies come from the ground and the air, and demand a variety of attack methods. Players can't go in with guns blazing and expect to live, but there is plenty of firefight for everyone. The whole thing hangs together a bit better than the first game, but I can't recommend it at all.

There comes a time when a game outgrows the system it's on. G-Police 2 just doesn't seem to fit right on PlayStation. The game itself is really good--futuristic mission-based cop game where you take out the bad guys and save the day. Missions have enough variety to keep you busy for days.

But when you're flying a helicopter around a city and can't see past 20 feet in front of you, there's a problem. Fans of the original G-Police will find lots to like about this sequel.

The futuristic cops of G-Police return in Weapons of Justice, which looks to top the original in every department with more weapons, missions, and an improved enemy A. The most striking new feature, however, is the additional vehicles. You can pilot a car and a mech both for ground-based combat , and then jump into the cockpit of a spaceship for some deep-space shooting. The beta version featured silky-smooth controls and challenging missions, but the graphics were plagued by pop-up and draw-in.

If the developers can arrest these problems, Weapons could be a top fall title. This game picks up where the original G-Police left off. The war is finally over on Callisto but, unfortunately, crime and fighting are as popular as ever.

You and the other G-Police forces are the only ones standing against the crime syndicates and thus preventing civil war. Sadly, the G-Police forces are a bit thin and generally are unable to mop up the bad guys on their own, so the marines are sent in to help you out of this mess. More often than not I found myself banging into a building or just moving around hoping to get off a single shot.

The magic secret for me anyway was to take things a little bit slower, pivoting on the y-axis and not thrusting all the time. After a couple of missions I got to fly the Venom which is a lot like the Hover except it has better firepower and space-faring capabilities.

After a while I got to check out the Rhino. This puppy looks like a police car on steroids. Once you get there there are some cool weapons at your disposal like the arching missile launcher and a big cannon.

Speed fast enough and you can use a turbo boost or if you need to make a quick stop then a handbrake is within reach the sound of using the handbrake was especially pleasing. This is a fun little car and one of my favorites. This would be an instant buy, listening to celine dion and play this game. My late brother would approve! I would LOVE this and buy it immediately!

One of the first games I played when I first got a PC - will always be one of my favourites - have tried to get my original version working again many times with no luck. Please bring it back! Fantastic game, would love to see it patched up for modern systems.

I have the original PC big box and I can get it running without even using compatibility mode see my updated instructions on the PC Gaming Wiki , but I can't get it to recognise my joystick. I was just searching for this game. It's one of the most underrated franchises of the 90s, and I'd love to properly play the PC version again.

Good ol'd G-Police. I loved this game so much back then in the golden PS1-Age! Would be aboslutely amazing to be able to play it again on PC. Fun fact: When you inserted the PS-Disc into a HiFi System and skipped the first track, you were able to enjoy the -actually pretty awesome- soundtrack :].

Truly one of the greatest games ever made! Bring this to GOG please! Or let us know if there's red tape around this game. Looks like Sony's owned this since , so not going to happen. Played the demo as a kid and loved it, but no cash to buy the game. To buy patched version would be great. Wonderful game that I'd love to see on GOG. Great fun on PC once upon a time. Having just spent an hour or so vainly struggling to get it to work on modern hardware with no luck, I'd love the opportunity to buy a patched version!

It was a fantastic game, and part of my childhood. Badass intro video. I'd buy the game in a heartbeat, I've been looking for this I own it since it came out, but it won't run on win 8. I still have the original PC version of G-Police from It's a frustration to start it up on modern hardware, of course. Here's hoping GOG is able to do something about it. Thank you very much! I really really want this game. I really beg U on my knees.

And it would be even totally awesome to bring PS version of the sequel here as well if possible. But first game is mandatory for me to have. One of the best games created by Psygnosis. We want it! Oh deary me, YES. What a wonderful abomination. Sorry if that sounded insulting, but this is one of those games I really have a twisted relationship with.
