Procon series 1 pump manual

I will go ahead and try to decalsify the pump with liner in place to see if this will work. It will also be a good time to see if any wear has happened on the innards of a very used unit. Will let you know about the results. This topic also seems to not be getting any responses? I am also like you guys, for years being told 'it is not possible'. Price would be: cost of a bearing and O-ring. Oh, and also your time. Good thing. The installation of a "better" bearing is not necessarily a good idea as the subject of bearing selection depends on several factors, cost being but one of those.

Equivalent facilities are likely available worldwide. Sponsored by Artisan Plus. They're even in Brazil. Just some more photos to add to the discussion.. The actual bearing used leaves a lot to be desired. This is the front bearing which forms an enclosure with the liner and in which the shaft rides in. You can see the calcium build up on the inlet and exit ports, some of which has been scraped way with a screw driver.

I have read elsewhere that on re-assembly, cleanliness is of upmost importance otherwise a proper seal won't be made. Lube of any kind is not recommended on the liner components and alcohol to be used to clean everything. I will assemble a unit using this advice, as well as trying one with a dry lube such as graphite powder. Contact us for a quote or for any additional information or call us at 1. Model No. Mount the half of the coupling for the motor onto the motor shaft and tighten the set screw. Insert the elastomer piece onto the motor piece. Mount the half of the coupling for the pump onto the pump shaft, but do not tighten the set screw.

Make sure the coupling slides easily onto the pump and the motor shaft -- do not force it. Make sure the shaft does not protrude into the space occupied by the elastomer piece. Series 6 pumps require a shaft key. Trial mount the pump onto the motor adapter while simultaneously engaging the coupling pieces.

Check to make sure that the coupling is properly engaged. Tighten the set screw on the pump coupling half. Check your assembly. If it does, go to step 7. If it does not, repeat steps 1 through 5, until the assembly is correct.

Check to make sure that your motor rotates correctly. Motor rotation must correspond to the rotation arrow on the nameplate of the pump. Slip the V-band onto the motor ring flange. Mount the pump to the motor by inserting the tang shaft of the pump into the slot on the motor. Make sure the ring flanges on the pump and on the motor are properly engaged and flush against one another. Make sure the clamp is fully seated around the entire circumference of the pump and motor flanges.

Tighten the V-band clamp using 15 to 30 inch-pounds of torque.
